Our Pastor

Pastor Kelcey West Rev. Kelcey A. West was born on February 12, 1971 in Pontiac, Michigan. A graduate of the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 1996, Pastor West began preaching and teaching the gospel since 1998. After serving faithfully as a youth minister, Pastor Kelcey West was ordained in 2005, under the leadership of the late Rev. Nathaniel Whitney at Greater Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church in Las Vegas.

As a community leader, Pastor West serves as the Director of the Minister's Division for the Nevada/California Baptist Church Convention and the Vice President for the Churches of Southern Las Vegas committee.

In 1992, he founded 32nd Street Theater, a non-profit theater company. His theatrical credits as a self-taught playwright, director and actor include "Two Sided Coins", "A Gift Called Tomorrow", "Quiet Time To Play", and "If This World Were Mine – A Theatrical Tribute to the Music Of Marvin Gaye."

His professional experience includes serving as a Marketing Manager for such companies as Ultrazone, Coca-Cola and United Blood Services.

In 1993, he developed the now annual “Unity Through Knowledge” HBCU Tour, which has helped more than 1200 students. Ironically, it was during the 1998 HBCU Tour (Montgomery, Alabama) when he accepted his call into the ministry and during the 2004 HBCU Tour (Atlanta, GA) when he accepted his assignment to plant Nehemiah Ministries Christian Church.

"As a pastor, my desire is to help people truly understand that if you delight yourself in the Lord, He will give you the desires of your heart," says Kelcey West.

Although, he has earned several community awards, his greatest honor is serving as a devoted husband to Carmen and a proud father to Christopher, Kyle, and Cameron.

Our Invitation

"Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?" Jhn 4:29

The Bible tells us that we have all sinned, and are therefore separated from God -the greatest relationship known to mankind. Even worse, our sin will cause us to be separated from God for all of eternity. How can this problem be solved?

The Bible teaches us that Jesus took our sin upon Himself, died on the cross, and three days later, rose from the dead, proving His victory over sin and death. If we confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in our heart that God hath raised him from the dead, we shall be saved according to Romans 10:9-10.

We invite you to accept Jesus as your personal Savior today! If you are already saved, we invite you to consider making NEHEMIAH MINISTRIES a place you can call HOME!
